Enameled sapphire is composed of similar materials to its namesake gemstone: iron, titanium, cobalt, silica, and aluminum oxide.
Similarly, both the glaze and the gemstone are treated with high temperatures, resulting in beautiful, unique subtle variations.
This effect is achieved through a single dip, resulting in a rich, deep blue color after firing that shimmers in the light.
